- High-level governance responsibilities for Quality and Safety - putting the governance plan together.
Who should attend
This is a practitioner and lead level program for anyone working in any area of the health system (e.g. hospitals, aged care, primary care, mental health, community care, dental services etc). It is ideal for:
- executives
- clinical directors
- nurse managers
- clinical nurse consultants
- registered nurses with greater than 3 years clinical experience
- medical consultants
- GPs and registrars
- allied health managers and directors
- clinical governance directors
- quality managers, patient safety managers, consumer engagement leads
and any clinician or manager who has responsibility for patient quality and safety as part of their core position.
CPD Point
Participation in this program will qualify participants for continuing professional development hours, as required by their respective National Board.
Working on your project
Participants will be supported to undertake a work based improvement project which involves improving the quality and safety of care for patients. You will receive methods, tools and coaching by the faculty to undertake your project. At the end of this program, you will deliver a 15min presentation virtually with a 5min Q&A from a small panel. You will also submit a 500 word abstract describing your project.
This project will form part of your final assessment.
