Leadership of interdisciplinary teams from across all health settings is an essential function of all healthcare leaders and an attribute of high performing systems. Without this ability it is difficult to deliver, high quality and safe care, service improvement and patient satisfaction.
One of the most recognised, demanding and challenging leadership environments is in active military service. The defence forces work hard on developing leadership which is built on a foundation of integrity, vision and inspiration. They recognise that without great leadership and followership there will be limited success.
Mr Anthony Lock, a former RAAF pilot, will be leading this training. He has extensive experience within the military, aviation and health industries as a leader. He will be bringing his expertise and observations of both sectors to this training, identifying those core leadership skills that work well for health care systems. Anthony's approach is engaging, relatable and transferable to real world settings, further, he exemplifies the qualities of leadership that we all aspire to have. We hope you can attend.
