We are proud to release the Quality Improvement Lead (QIL) Program Project Summaries 2023-24 Publication, which serves as a valuable resource for clinicians in quality improvement and transformative leadership in healthcare.

This current Project Summaries Booklet highlights some outstanding projects undertaken as part of the QIL Program throughout 2022 to 2023. It contains a variety of initiatives undertaken across diverse healthcare settings and disciplines including critical care, maternal and child health, medication safety, mental health and more.

These projects address key challenges and improvement areas within organisations across Australia and internationally, including:

  • Reducing the incidence of medication errors in Critical Care at the Royal Darwin Palmerston Hospital, NT

  • Improving incident-follow up and investigations at Bairnsdale Regional Health Service, VIC

  • Improving report turnaround time and reducing patient wait time in the Radiology Department at The American Mission Hospital, Bahrian

This publication offers valuable lessons for the broader healthcare community. We strongly encourage clinicians to read and share learnings with colleagues. Read the publication here
