Through the ACHS platform, Metrik, we are supporting healthcare organisations with an easy way to track, analyse and benchmark their performance data.
New to ACHS and CIP?
The ACHS Clinical Indicator Program (CIP) continues to provide healthcare organisations with valuable tools to assess and enhance patient care. Encompassing 23 Clinical Indicator (CI) sets and over 330 CIs, it represents the world’s largest dedicated CI data collection and reporting service. Using our revolutionary new platform, Metrik, we support over 600 healthcare organisations to measure, analyse and benchmark their performance data. Each Indicator Set is developed by clinicians for clinicians, ensuring relevance and practicality in real-world healthcare settings. Our latest CI set is Ambulance Health Services which is now live for reporting.
As an ACHS Member, our Metrik system provides a free and easy way to show evidence of compliance with the three Clinical Care Standards, as mandated by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission).
Antimicrobial Stewardship Clinical Care Standard (Action 3.18d) – refer to Advisory AS18/08
Delirium Clinical Care Standards (Action 5.29a) – refer to Advisory AS22/01
Colonoscopy Clinical Care Standard (Actions 1.23, 1.24, 1.27b, and 1.28a) – refer to Advisory AS18/12

Member Update
Clinical Indicator Submissions opened for 2nd Half 2024 on the 6th of January and has a deadline of the 20th of February 2025. If your organisation is having a service impact which means you cannot achieve this deadline, please contact us for an up to 1 week extension. Extensions beyond that date are available but your data will not form part of the aggregate rate calculation, as we need to close the submission to start the data cleaning process and generate reports.
The reports for the 2nd Half 2024 data will be available in April on Metrik. We have incorporated your feedback from the last report so they will be improved based on this.
The manuals for Day Patient (version 7) and Infection Control (version 6) are available on the Member Portal to start getting the definitions ready to collect data against for the next cycle. Please note that a number of indicators have changed, and some have been removed. Please review the indicators you are submitting prior to your 1st half 2025 submission in the second half of 2025.
Please reach out to us at POS@achs.org.au should you have any questions.
