Our annual mandatory education program for Assessors has commenced.
Key to providing excellent accreditation services for our Members is the ongoing training of all of our Assessors, keeping them informed and up-to-date with standards requirements.
“Inter-rater reliability and report writing, together with changes to infection control-related standards, as well as the practicalities of assessing during a pandemic were the focus for this year’s training sessions,” said Ms Edwards, ACHS Assessor Division Manager.
“The interactive virtual forums and webinars were conducted through October and November and our Assessors also received an update from the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare (ACSQHC) as well as a new education session on identifying and managing conflicts of interest.
“ACHS continues to monitor the situation as State and Territory borders open across Australia, and our aim is to return to on-site assessments where possible, and as soon as practicable.
“Our skilled Assessors are keen to return to interacting personally with staff and patients in healthcare organisations,” said Ms Edwards.
