ACHS is pleased to announce the appointment of Darlene Hennessy as the new Director, Assessor Division and welcome her to the organisation.
Darlene is a highly experienced senior health care professional with expertise in health management who knows ACHS well having worked here previously. She has a clinical nursing background and has been involved in developing, maintaining and monitoring health care quality, safety, governance and risk management frameworks, including management of national clinical indicator programs. Darlene has extensive experience particularly in the areas of quality, safety, risk management and governance, having worked with ISO 9001: 2015; Australian Council on Healthcare Standards EQuIP Standards, the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards as well as the Aged Care Quality Standards.
Darlene looks forward to the upcoming ACHS Assessor Forums, to be held face to face from the end of October to November 2022.
We would like to thank all of our assessors for their flexibility and understanding as we, along with our member organisations, adjust back to site visits for assessments. We note that there have been some challenges for all and acknowledge both our assessors and member organisations who are now all working in a healthcare world that has changed significantly.
