ACHS is here to support Primary and Community Health services with their accreditation needs.
Primary and Community Health encompasses a broad range of health services accessed by a significant proportion of the population in Australia. Standards of care in a Primary and Community Health setting are essential for ensuring safe and high-quality care and enables individuals to be confident in the services that they access. The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare (the Commission) have developed these Standards for healthcare services directly involved in patient care in the Primary and Community setting.
About the NSQPCH Standards
ACHS is approved by the Commission to assess healthcare organisations against the National Safety and Quality Primary and Community Healthcare (NSQPCH) Standards. Launched in October 2021, the NSQPCH Standards were developed through extensive consultation with consumers, healthcare providers and services, professional and peak bodies, and Primary Health Networks.
