ACHS was saddened to learn of the recent passing of experienced ACHS Lead Assessor Marilyn Sneddon in early November.
Marilyn Sneddon commenced assessing for ACHS in 1994, completing 148 Australian assessments, totaling 232 assessing days, as well as 106 International assessments, totaling 312 assessing days. She averaged nearly 23 days per year over a 24-year period, before completing her last assessment in May 2018.
Following more than 30 years of clinical and executive experience in the public and private healthcare sector in Victoria, Marilyn held a range of Executive appointments for the Alfred Hospital, Australian Hospital Care Ltd and Masada Private Hospital.
Marilyn provided education services for the ACHS in Australia and New Zealand. She also assessed, coordinated and provided education services in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Bahrain), Sri Lanka, Macau, Taiwan and China and was a member of the ACHS Hong Kong Project Team until 2017. We remember Marilyn and thank her for her enormous contribution to ACHS over many years.
