What is the V-QIL?
The Virtual Quality Improvement Lead (QIL) Program is the Improvement Academy’s flagship training program that that aims to equip participants with the principles and skills necessary to improve the quality and safety of healthcare for patients. Participants are required to undertake a quality improvement project that will enable them to apply the program learnings to a practical setting and achieve quality improvement outcomes within their specific organisation. Will I receive CPD Points?
Participation in this program will qualify participants for continuing professional development hours, as required by their respective National Board.
What are the key outcomes?
We focus on equipping you with the methods and tools for quality improvement. A full list of the program’s key outcomes can be found here.
What support will I receive?
The QIL program is led by our excellent Improvement Academy faculty of experienced clinicians and experts. Program participants receive 36 hours of interactive teaching, 16 hours of coaching, email support and QI project support.
Who should enrol?
This is a practitioner and lead level program for anyone working in any area of the healthcare system (e.g. hospitals, aged care, primary care, mental health, community care, dental services etc.).
How long is the program?
The program is made up of 6 modules that run for 2 to 3 hours each day and is spaced across a 9-month period. See 2023 module dates below:
What are the program costs?
$3150 AUD for ACHS Members with option to pay in instalments. We offer discounts for full payment of the course upfront and further discounts for organisations who send three or more participants. Non-member organisations and individuals are welcome to apply.
